@.twist.: If it helps, I bought three packs of the paper I need…and only needed ONE!  ooops!  My Fiance, fortunately, just shrugged and said he knew I’d find a use for ’em….

not exactly the same, but kinda???

and look at the brightside: you now have PLENTY of extras for mistakes!!!!

@.twist.: don’t feel shame. Now you have plenty of extras for pictures and scrapbooking ๐Ÿ™‚ I did however giggle at your misfortune.

@.twist.: Maybe you can start a new wedding trend and send individual invites to guests? You won’t have to worry about plus ones, if you didn’t get an invite, you’re not invited.

Or, this may be a stretch, but what about using the invites as a sort of guest book at the wedding? People do it with postcards, you could have a stack there and they could write you guys a note on the back.

Just trying to make the best of it.

haha its good to hav extras though I ordered more than I needed. I bought 150 invites for 175 guests and I ended up with lots left over, but it was good because I made quite a few mistakes when rubber stamping and addressing the envelopes

Well, you are not me who bought 150 for 200 guests which morphed into 235 guests and then I started stressing about not having enough invites and some guests didn’t receive their invites. Instead of sending them another one, I told them where and when. Not cool per etiquette but I didn’t have any to spare ๐Ÿ™ So please, better to have too much than too little.

When I was helping a friend with invitations for her wedding we did the same thing.  I didn’t question at all how many we were making because I didn’t know how big her guest list was.  I later found out I cut out about twice as many of these stupid freaking leaves that she put on each invitation.  Those damn leaves scarred me for life.

Maybe frame in a doublesided frame for you, your parents and Future In-Laws.  That takes care of 6 and leaves 74!!

I have seen people make cards for the wedding out of wedding invitations.  Very creative and cool.  How about turning yours into your thank you notes?

Well it’s better to have too many than too few. You win there!

My fiance did the same thing with our save the dates! We have a box of about 100 extra save the date post cards sitting in our hall closet! Maybe we’ll give everyone a “keepsake” at the wedding ๐Ÿ˜‰

Seriously though, it gets hard to keep track of what things are “per person” and what things are “per couple or ‘unit'” I’m sure you’re not the first and you definitely won’t be the last!
