right now we have 9-8-12 picked as our date.
i have no real reason to change it other than this feeling inside of me that keeps sayin “eh” when i think of that being our wedding date…
i cant explain it…. when we first picked that date i was soooo excited… its FH’s fav number and 2 days before his birthday….we originally wanted the month to be in sept cuz both our birthdays are in sept and its just a special month for us.
but now i’m like, ugh… 9.8.12
our other picks were 7.9.11 (day he proposed but its too soon to have it by then)
10.20.12 (which i like but keep finding excuses not to do it then, ex-day after my neice’s bday)
i keep wanting to change it. what is wrong with me?? lol
FH doesnt mind what day it is….should i just leave it as our initial pick? or change it??

Does it help to think of it in long form? September 8, 2012? Sounds nice that way. Why is it too soon to have it 7/9/11? I think you could do it!

you’re obsessing over something tiny 🙂
it doesn’t matter what date you choose, because you will MAKE that day so special because it will be your wedding day. after the wedding, i’m sure 9/8/12 will sound beautiful to you, knowing it’s the day you got married.

Unless the date is something really cool (9-10-11) or your anniversary I don’t see how it matters. Once you start looking at venues/trying to figure out people’s schedules it doesn’t really matter what you planned on.

i picked my wedding date out of convenience…(my brother is going overseas and i wanted to have my wedding while he was still in the states) .i actually hate the idea of it being 2 days before valentines day but iint he end the date or day doesnt matter to me, like pp said we will make it special.
9-8 is a great day!~ its my daddys birthday!
and 10-20 is my brothers birthday so you picked some good dates!
i dont think the dates really matter, only when its something cool like 10-10-10 but only a small percentage of people have cool dates like that.

Oh goodness, you might be in trouble! I was one of those people that wanted to change everything after I picked it out for the wedding. You need to take a firm stance now that once you make a wedding decision that’s it! LOL. Trust me it will make life a lot easier if you can stick to this rule.
I do understand the date thing though, since I tend to be number obsessed. We’re getting married on 12-11-10

@arclee: i guess it does sound a little nicer written out instead of using the number of the month…. i dont know why i’m making it a big deal…lol
7/9/11 is too soon cuz we’re paying for it ourselves and don’t wanna get into debt for it and we won’t be able to really start saving until march because FH is done paying his car that month…unless we do it super super cheap it probly wont be financially feesible for that date…. 🙁 or hit the lottery…lol

@mwitter80:oh yes, i am definitely gonna be in trouble trust me! lol i def one of those ppl who changes her mind a lot….so making decisions and sticking with them is gonna be hard!! lol… im def gonna have to stick to that rule for sure…lol

@MamaHusky3: Well that’s a great reason for not doing it 7/9/11. I agree with mwitter80, if you don’t have an actual reason to change it, don’t change it! Is there a reason though, why setting a date makes you nervous?
@arclee: it doesnt make me nervous… i guess its just 9-8-12 doesnt feel special…i know i’m probably just being silly about it….and i know the actual day will be special cuz we’re making it special 🙂 i suppose its more of seeing the date on paper that looks off to me…the graphic of it written out…. i suppose i’m a little bit weird like that…. like when i write out 9.8.12 or September 8, 2012….i get this “eh” feeling… its stupid really… i should just brush it off….lol
