@NicoleLyn1218:  I can see your frustration, but pick your battles πŸ™‚ Who knows, maybe she’ll stay for dinner and decide to clean your kitchen for you! Laughing Worst case scenario, you end up with some extra medicine in the house.

Agree with PP — you gotta pick your battles. MILs suck sometimes, but hey, it could definitely be worse!

@NicoleLyn1218:  Oh, brother, I hear ya. I wonder if she’s bringing over children’s medicine since that is what worked for him in the past? πŸ˜‰ Tee hee. PP has a good point, though. Be thankful she cares, smile and be grateful, and put the medicine in the cabinet as backup.

Mother in law vs. wife/girlfriend is a losing battle. I get your frustration, and if you broach the subject, no matter how diplomatic you are, the claws will come out. Your SO needs to be the one to tell her to back off, that hes a big boy, ect.. Moms get so controlling when it comes to their baby boys. Honestly i’d let it go unless its been an issue in the past, you should bring it up to SO

IMO it’s normal and sweet for his mom to do that. Don’t interpret it as offensive to you in any way.

@NicoleLyn1218:  I got lucky with my Future Mother-In-Law as well… she definitely has her downfalls (who doesn’t?!) but she pretty much leaves the two of us alone and treats us like the grown adults we are. So I definitely appreciate that. πŸ™‚

@NicoleLyn1218:  I know. It’s irrational. Just so mom-ish though. Yes, it’s a “ooooh no my baby!!” response, logic does not matter πŸ™‚

@NicoleLyn1218:  this reminds me of the sex and the city episiode where trey is sick & bunny comes over and starts rubbing his chest with something(i cant remember) and charlotte is like uhh wtf are you doing?
