I am trying to sell one of my dresses from my wedding, and they asked for the certificate of authenticity. I totally understand them asking but…. Am I the only bride who just chucked that thing out? I got one from Alfred Angelo and one from Maggie, and I thought it was so weird. I had never heard of such a thing…a certificate for a dress? Into the trash bin with you excess paper!
Oh well, hindsight is 20-20.
If anyone on the bee remembers, last year I also tossed out a Pandora bracelet (whoops!) when cleaning, and a few months/a year before that I tossed out a survey to my house since it was “just a photocopy”.
I really have an issue. LOL

Haha. I’m the total oppsotie. I keep soooo much crap around. I’ve been cleaning up my room at my parents house the past year and found receipt for shirts from like 1999. no joke….

Now that I think about it, AA didn’t give me one. I know the shop is legit, it says the Alfred Angelo store on it. I was in kindof a hurry when I picked it up and didn’t think about it.

Do you still have a copy of your receipt??

@risingsun: I didn’t get mine in the store….like a month later I got it in the mail with a note that I had left it. I wonder if I inadvertantly tried to toss it there too??? HAHA

Lol. I had the same problem until I forced myself to get a filing system. After awhile, it becomes second practice to file. Now I seem to have too much paperwork. Never ending cycle.

@love108: bahahaha no way! I bought my dresses like, last spring? once we were like a month out from the wedding and the alterations were done, I tossed the whole planning binder in the trash! My MoH had copies of our contracts in her inbox in case we had a problem day of, and that was that!
I’m one of those people that you come into my house, and I start fussing around you trying to seperate you from your bags and packaging. Junk mail gets thrown out before even making it in the house. I have a filing box and two binders, and if it doesn’t fit in there it must be gone!
