EllyAnne :  Ahh thank you! We have decided to take a relaxed approach to TTC – if we don’t have any joy in the next 12 months we’ll consider speaking to our GPs then, but judging by the majority of the responses here, there doesn’t seem to be a pressing need to at the moment. I have already had a withdrawal bleed since coming off the pill which only lasted just two days (I wish my normal periods were this short!), I’m going to check out the book and app that UK-Bee recommended, and of course I’ll start taking pre-natal supplements, but we want TTC to be a pleasure not a chore! Not UK but Western Europe. At least according to the info I see at my GP offfice it is advised to consult the doctor before TTC. If you have any conditions for which you take medications it’s important to talk to doctor about it before you get pregnant

Heck I’m from the US and am not seeing the doctor before ttc. I’m young, healthy, and not taking any types of medications. I’ll just save my $50 thank you. lol
