Any UK Bees in the Midlands/Warwickshire area, I have a recommendation! Today I went to Eternal Bride (http://www.eternalbrideuk.co.uk/) in Warwick, and I can wholeheartedly recommend them. The staff were so very friendly, their selection of both new and sale dresses was large, and the store was so well-lit and laid out it was easy to see what was going on. Their website doesn’t really do them any favours in design, but the shop itself is extremely professional, comfortable and just a nice place to be.
They don’t consider the dresses in the store ‘samples’, and as such when you’re browsing, they ask you to wear gloves to protect the dresses for any future brides who might wish to buy that dress – the example they gave was due to time constraints! – and before you try them on, they give you baby wipes to clean your hands so you don’t have to fret about touching the dress when you’re wearing it.
Thanks to them, I now know exactly what I’m looking for – dropped-waist, A-line, Point D’esprit lace dress, with scalloped hem, full train and Empire-line detailing, ideally with buttons if possible! Haha, it sounds so picky! I tried on the beautiful Pronovias Petalo, although as of tomorrow that’s being discontinued, which is a shame as it had everything, but it’s far too early for me to buy yet! Oh well, there are other Pronovias ones from the 2013 collection with a similar shape (although the pictures on the website aren’t detailed enough for me to see if they have Point D’esprit), and Maggie Sottero’s Natasha dress looks pretty similar (although I think it’s 2011 collection, does anyone know if it’s being continued in 2013?) So! Onwards and upwards!
But yes, Eternal Bride, Warwick, were absolutely wonderful. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.
