I recently moved from NY to London for my fiance’s job. Our wedding will still be in NY where our friends and family are though. Of course all my vendors has to be in the NY area since they will be providing their service in NY! BUT!! Reason I am writing is because I wanted to see you guys knew any good wedding invitation companies, craft stores to get stuff for DIYS, and where should we register?! I am still new to London so my first instinct is to have a wedding registry with John Lewis!
Thanks in advance for the tips!

We had our registry with John Lewis, we also booked our honeymoon with Kuoni who have a parternship with John Lewis and we could have also added our honeymoon to our gift list.
John Lewis was great. Everything was delivered in one delivery after the wedding. We had a few broken items but they were more than happy to exchange them all for us. There’s an online management tool so you can things later if you want. You also get a full list of the messages and who gave which gift after the wedding so writing tahnk you cards is easy. You can order gifts online for those people in the US.
Shopping was also quite fun. You get the little scanner gizmos that you see on TV but you also get a coupon for a free hot drink and cake in the coffee shop (is there anything that gets Brits more excited than free tea and cake?)
The other place you can register is Debenhams, who also have a big invitation centre.
For hobby shops there’s Hobby Craft but it can be expensive. Have a look online, there’s a lot of craft sites out there. Amazon is great too.

The largest craft store in NYC is probably “Michael’s,” located on 6th Ave on 20-something street. It’s huge and has nearly everything you can imagine for crafts. I remember their specific DIY-wedding section in the physical store wasn’t that big but I’m sure there’s a lot more stuff you can buy (and perhaps from ten online store too) and figure out the DIY part yourself.
“Dick Blick’s” is another large arts supplies store and has at least two locations in Manhattan that I know of.
