Oh yey, I love the variety of UK venues. I have always known what we will be doing for our wedding.

We are getting married in the village church where I grew up;

With this view;

And our reception will be taking place in either a marquee in my parents garden or in this 15th century barn;

WIth piles of bunting everywhere.

Oh and ignore the building stuff around the church – we had did some fundraising to repair the church roof which has all been finished now.

@PenguinLove:  Monmouthshire in South Wales. The interior is divine, you walk in and can just smell the wood from all the old beams. It’s also only £950 hire for the whole weekend!

@Audrey2:  Yep 🙂 All day guests and evening guests get entrance to the zoo all day (open from 10 – 6).  Our ceremony is 12.30-1, then we’ll have a drinks reception/nibbles and group photos for a while and then sit down meal is at 3.30, so day guests are able to come a bit early or will have ~1 hour to see some of the animals between ceremony and reception (we’ll be warning people about time of meal and reason on info sheet with invitation, so they can bring their own snacks or buy food in the zoo if they can’t survive on canapes until then).  We get to go and have our photos taken feeding some of the animals as well!  The reception is in a marquee in a hedged in private garden behind the Hall – so the actual wedding will still be quite private.  We also get a land train that’s all decorated with ribbons for taking guests between the front gates and the hall and back again at the end of the night.  I love it!

@RainbowHope:  You actually get to feed the animals?! That is seriously cool! I remember when I was little we used to feed the elephants at Whipsnade dog biscuits. So much fun!
