Hi ladies! I’m currently 31 weeks and am team green! I had to go for an ultrasound this morning due to repeated spotting. Fortunately the baby is doing great, and there are no issues. But, I think the tech may have ruined our surprise 🙁
I could SWEAR that she said we can’t see the face because “he’s hiding the head.” She is so softspoken, though. And I didn’t ask her to repeat it. I ALSO thought I saw a penis…but it could have been the cord? How visible are those things?
Any ultrasound techs or people who work in an ob/gyn…do you call babies “he” of “she” in general…or did she slip???
Now I am just dying to know!!!

When I was pregnant she kept saying “he” we wanted to know what it was and she said, “He just turned into SHE(:” lol I think they don’t want to call it “it” so they just say he or she. Don’t worry(:

@mrsmjm: How did I not remember you were team green? I think they may use “he” just in general, you know. I know before I knew my babygirl’s gender, I often said he just because of human nature, I guess. I hope she didn’t ruin the surprise!

I agree with other posters, I think it’s just habit to say he/she interchangeably when you don’t know… I hope they didn’t ruin the surprise!
That said, when my sister went into labor with her first (they were team green) she was late and was having an ultrasound to make sure everything was going well and she didn’t think anything of it at the time but the doctor said something like “she looks good”, she went into labor the next day and it was a girl… She didn’t realize until after that the doctor might have slipped.

Ok, I feel like I really, really want to know now!!! I’m debating posting a bum shot so you ladies can tell me! My Darling Husband would be so disappointed, though, if I ruined the surprise!!!
It was just really weird, because the rest of the time she said “the baby.” That was the only “he” she threw out there!!
I would be so, so, so excited if it was a boy!!

@mrsmjm: post one! They would only be guesses, of course 🙂 I take it back! Don’t do it! The surprise will be SO worth it!
