What kind of color did your stylist use? I get non-permanent so it washes out a bit, she does it super dark brown…I was Barbie blonde for years…now I have a perfect dark brown with a bit of reddish highlights.
If you have a non-permanent color, it will fade anyways, the violet tinge used to happen to me in my Barbie days when they didn’t leave the color in for long enough. You can get shampoo at CVS/Rite-aid to "correct" it until it washes or fades out.

Hmmm….yep…my cousin used to color my hair with peroxide for years…from when I was 14 until I moved away at 19…sigh…I loved my blondeness but it was so frigging high maintenance. I know you can treat it to quiet down the violet but I can’t for the life of me remember what K used to use for that.
ej…I would call Future Sister-In-Law, she’ll probably know right away how to fix it, if it wasn’t so late here I’d call my cousin, but she’s married with 3 kids :).
I know it’s not a hard fix, so she should be able to help you right away.

LOL! It’s probably as easy as ketchup or vinegar or something, but yeah check with her. And I know, you’re probably the only person that sees it but … you want it right for you. 🙂

I have colored hair professionally for years and this is very common with blond highlights.

After bleach is applied sometimes a toner is put on to tone down the brassiness of the highlight (tone down the gold tones).  To do this a blue or purple color toner is sometimes used.  Since the hair cuticle is wide open from the bleach- it sucks the toner up like a sponge – as in some cases it will leave a purple or blue tint on the hair.

YES, this will wash out.  I am guessing it shouldn’t take to long.  If you are really concerned about it, I would try washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo – that will help strip it out naturally.

Totally normal

It is the toner and it will fade away.

If they don’t use the toner…your hair can look orange…so they use the purple to cancel out that shade. Don’t worry….it will go away

To reiterate what these girls said, YES, it will wash out! Don’t worry! (I’ve had this happen to my hair multiple times). To speed it up, wash with a harsher shampoo than you might usually, but it should be gone in a few shampoos regardless.
