This was a bit of an impulse purchase and I have no idea if it will be THE dress. But I know I want lace and a simple silhouette… and this dress is on sale at the Limited for $45!
I added a pair of earrings to the order to get it above $50 and then I could use a $25 off $50 virtual dollars code (find at retailmenot.com)… my total with tax and shipping is $38!!
I have no idea whether I’ll like it or not, but at that price it’s worth the gamble.

@globalmargaret: Yeah, I’m not sold on the black but it says it’s removable, I can see replacing it with a sash to match the dress or in a softer color. They have other styles of dresses on sale for $75 or less, and the virtual dollars get you $25 off every $50 you spend, so basically half off. Have a look!

@Over the Moon:
I love the crumb catcher!! It makes such a beautifully minimalistic detail. It’s lovely.
It’d make a good reception dress…

@soontobemsv: Thank you! And it would make a good reception dress! They have shorter dresses too, that would be great reception dresses also. We are eloping so it’s sort of the same idea, a more minimalist/unfussy style.

Just wanted to say AWESOME! And I bought that one too a few months back.
It is extremely classy and elegant. You can change around the sash or exclude it.

@Eva Peron: Oh, I am so happy to hear that! I looked briefly for pics at WB but didn’t find anyone with this dress. I didn’t look that hard because the adrenaline was pumping! You like the quality of it in person? Did you end up wearing it at your wedding?

LOL I know about the adrenaline, I used the coupons and got a pretty sick deal too. Honestly you can’t go wrong. I did not wear it to my first wedding in the states, but I have two more little wedding ceremonies to do, on being in Argentina, so its in the top contenders.
I don’t know if you have tried on alot of other dresses and what not, but I will say the “lace” does not feel very lacy at all. Its kind of like floral patterns with texture, but looks great still. The sash acutally grew on me too which I never thought I would like.
One thing you will notice is that they sew up some of the underlayers to give it that colum look. I ended up cutting the layers free so it was more of a slim Aline which I loved. Its also quite long ( typical limited) so I was able to wear some heels and im almost 5″9.
The quality was very good, the packaging they do is extremely professional and really beautiful, I didn’t even wann touch it lol.
Hope you like it and you can work with it, whether its for your real wedding, a reception dress or even a trash the dress/ day after pics!

@Eva Peron: Thank you so much for the detailed review! We are eloping with no guests, so the in-person quality isn’t as important as looking good in photos (although naturally I want to feel good in it). I’m glad to know it’s long enough, too! I’m 5’8″. 🙂
@impatientlypatient: I love that dress! Such a cute reception dress, post pics when you get it!
