(Closed) umm do I need a slip? I don’t get it…

Most dresses have the lining built in and do not require a separate slip. If yours does, the consulatant who sold you the dress would’ve told you so you could order one.

David’s Bridal sells fit and flare slips, and as I recall they have a pretty good ‘before’ and ‘after’ pics of a woman in a fit and flare dress without and then with the slip. It really made a big difference! Here is the slip, and the before-and-after pics are in the Bridal Book catalog online on page 142. If the flare part of your dress stays poofed without it, then no need, but if it’s just hanging fabric then a slip may make all the difference!

They just add volume to the “flare” part. You don’t “need” it, but it does change the look of the dress. Might be worth trying one on with your gown.

I don’t think you need spanx if you have boning and a bra. Spanx are definitely optional on all dresses!
