Hi ladies! I’m 15 weeks and starting to get a little bump. But my butt is starting to get a bump of it’s own… what is going on!?!?!?! I had visions of being a cute pregnant woman with a nice big bump, but I swear my butt is trying to outpace my bump!!

My butt ended up looking like a flat, weird, old lady in the locker room butt. Thankfully, it went back to normal after I had the baby.

As someone who’s spent her whole life being mocked for her flat ass, I was pretty stoked to get some junk in the trunk while I was pregnant. Mine went away a few weeks after the baby came. I am sure your butt will return to normal as well.

@Tatum: I am with you! I have always wanted a bigger butt! But sadly, at 28 weeks, my wish has not (yet) come true.
I was joking with my husband about getting breast implants and a lift afterwards. He suggested I would benefit more from an ass-implant! Haha, what a jerk! Good thing I knew he was joking!!!

LOL welcome to the club! I have a tushy to begin with and it has grown a bit too – have you read Girlfriend’s Guide to Pregnancy? Funny chapter about butt growth.

I think it’s just because you are gaining weight, maybe the pregnancy hormones have something to do with it being located on your butt. But like, I gained weight from some medication and it went a lot to my butt, which is not normally where I gain weight.

oh the giant butt! I got that too. Six weeks after I had my son I still couldn’t get my old sweatpants on!! IT freaked me out….but don’t worry, it will go back to normal. I think your body will do what it wants to do in terms of putting on extra padding…I also had the wish for that cute little bump, but of the 35ish pounds I gained, I think very few went to my bump and the rest went to my butt, thighs and face….

I know this is going to happen to me when I get pregnant. I actually predict that my bum will start to get large immediately before anything else. I have a huge behind and whenever I gain weight, that’s where it goes.

Yeah… me too. Only difference is that I had PLENTY of junk in the trunk to begin with and now the booty is looking kind of ridiculous. lol. I have epic, rap-video booty now.

Mine is bigger too but I’m not complaining, I’ve always been skinny so I’m enjoying my bigger boobs and butt

Whew! Glad to know I’m not alone! I don’t know where it is coming from… I’ve only gained a few pounds at 15 weeks (4-5 total? Maybe less!). My boobs are huge, and I know a tiny bit of it is the extra blood, fluids, baby & amniotic sac, etc. But damn… my butt is trying to be the first one to the finish line!!!!

Seriously, at first it was a race between the boobs v. belly….then belly v. butt….at 22 wks the belly is finally winning ; ) And I have gained about 9 lbs at 22 wks.

@winniewolf: LOL – too funny
I just kept telling myself that the butt grew to counteract the weight from the boobs and belly. I’ll be doing lots of squats and lunges after the baby’s born to get it back in shape – haha
