I didn’t know nickel could turn your finger colors. It led to bleeding ears for me, so I stay far away from it in other jewelry. You can definitely develop a nickel allergy randomly at any time though, so it’s a possibility.

@subtlebee:  I don’t think she’s trying to bait you. Your opinion actually doesn’t make factual sense in this case.

Uhm, is there any chance you could be pregnant?  Pregnancy changes your body chemistry which would explain why it is happening suddenly despite your having not changed any routine.  Just a thought.

ETA: Whoops!  I didn’t see your last post about changing your diet.  That could be it, too!

@subtlebee:  this was my thought too. like maybe the coating rubbed off and she needs to get it re-applied or change the setting to something without nickle

@Mars62312:  well I hope you aren’t all of a sudden allergic to nickle! do you have an allergist that can test you?

Yellow gold does that to me! If it is 18K or greater my finger turns green. My class ring was 24k and it made my finger swell and turn red. White gold doesn’t do it. I was told it was some of the metals in the yellow gold that people have a problem with.

@subtlebee:  Not trying to bait you either. I just remember that you said in another thread that a lot of your jewelry is from Costco, and I doubt Costco sells palladium white gold. High quality white gold is unplated and bad quality is plated is not a factually correct statement.

It happened to me while wearing a solid 18k yellow gold ring. I was like, wth, I know this thing isn’t fake!! (ETA: The fact that PP said being pregnant can cause this is freaking me out, considering I’ve skipped AF this month and no sign as of yet- but BFN on tests…..ACCCK. Oh, and I just started wearing this ring 2 weeks ago. But my white gold rings haven’t caused this reaction, they are 14k and 10k, the yellow gold ring is 18k)
