Hmmm i think that I would let my best friends and my sisters try it on. But no one else.

Wow that’s bizzare not even my friends asked that question. In fact only person who had it on besides me is my Fiance who decided he needed to wear it on his pinky for about 30 seconds. Lol silly boy, I think he wanted to see how long I’d allow it…clearly…not long =P

Oh dear Lord, I’d slap someone! I sometimes hold my bff’s ring for her if she’s doing something and have to put it on my ring finger (We both have the same size teensy tiny fingers and I’m afraid of dropping it from my pinkies) She doesn’t care, I made sure of it. But actually trying it on?! nuts!

hmm, i don’t see anything wrong with letting my friends and family try on my ring. as soon as i got engaged, my friends all took turns trying it on and i didn’t mind at all. is that weird? haha, but i’d never let a stranger try it on for sure, that’s not okay.

@MissKat03: No, I don’t think that’s weird at all.  I have tried on my friends’ rings, and friends have tried on mine…  Though I have never been asked by a stranger (or even acquaintence), but I wouldn’t let them try my ring on.

I’ve been asked a few times, but I usually say I’m not comfortable taking it off.  It’s always been random people- co-workers or people I’m not especially close to.

The only one who asked and I said yes is my niece, because we were sitting around one day with my FSIL’s and she was trying on everyone’s ring just as a lark.  We were sitting at a table and she had four very high strung women staring at her, so I wasn’t too concerned about losing it. She also declared mine her favorite, which was of course nice to hear 🙂

Gosh it’s a little weird to have a total stranger ask to try on your ring. Even my friends don’t ask to do that!

i’ve had a colleague asking why my fiance bought me a SILVER ring and how MUCH was it? Like, hello!!! RUDEEEE! It was 14K white gold and the price was none of her bidness anyway.

Rude people annoy me :s

I let my mom see it without it on my finger and she put it on a different finger. But my grandma lets me wear her wedding ring(but i think that because when she passes that i get her ring)

Well, you do have an amazing ring! But I’ve never asked anyone if I could try on their ring, so weird! No one has ever asked me either, except my sister and I just told her its bad luck to try on other people’s engagement rings haha.

Very pretty ring Laughing

I would say that it’ll be too small as an excuse. I’ve got a size I ring (4 1/2 in US I think) so it doesn’t fit most people anyway!

Bit of a compliment though I suppose!

OP: “no” should suffice?

I’ve only had 5 people max ask to try on my e-ring and I let them. *shrugs*
