This happens sooo often with ‘the knot’ websites, so much so that I purposely picked a different website to avoid it. But ops are right, there are a ton of different l explanations. Misspelled names or website glitches are not unheard of.

We had to turn off the website rsvp because it sucked so bad.  Lucky fot us I tested it before sending save the dates. But its possible the website sucked.

This sounds like an accident. I wouldn’t read too far into it. When I made my wedding guest list, it got e-mailed and edited and saved so many times, it’s a wonder no one accidentally got deleted.

jelly456 :  my guess they realized attending their wedding would interfere with your honeymoon, and/or attending your wedding will interfere with things they need to do leading up to their wedding and they thought the easy answer was to just to not send an invite.

I am scatterbrained. My best friend’s mother, whom I have known well and closely for over 15 years… who was second on my invite list because of how much I love her… hasn’t gotten her save the date because I got distracted filling out the invite and wrote the wrong address number. Hers is one of the few addresses I have memorized and didn’t have to look at. Took 3.5 weeks to come back to sender. I apologized and am getting a new one into the mail.

Thankfully she didn’t think I made her a b list. Then again… I was 3 years late getting her a card once so I think she’s used to my absentmindedness.

Definitely sounds like just a mistake to me. They may have just missed plugging your name into the website or it got left off of their spreadsheet or they skipped a line accidentally.. all kinds of ways it could go missing.

If you got a STD, and they told you to watch out for your invite in the mail – they’d have to be pretty insane to be secretly planning on uninviting you all the while.

The Knot is glitchy, it gave this error to several of my guests and then after 10 or so tried their invite appeared. People also miss-use it all the time and don’t enter names correctly, or if you don’t type it in EXACTLY the way she entered it, you get no invite. I wouldn’t stress about this.
