merrymargaret :  It’s just very judgmental of you. Who are you to talk down to a women’s engagement ring, her symbol of love to her husband? Everyone has a different taste, and just because it wasn’t yours…makes this a hot topic.

merrymargaret :  It’s the judgy part.  The bees hate when people get judgy, as per the “you poor thing” comment you made in your head.  It would be one thing if the manicurist was complaining, but she wasn’t.  Maybe it was a placeholder ring, maybe she loves it.  You said she’s gotten two more already – in what timeline?

regarding your question, cause I’m a (slightly) less snarky bee, I love my ring, but it is definitely not a popular one on the Bee.  I don’t think anyone in real life cares one way or the other.  But maybe you’d feel sorry for me, not realizing how much I longed for an aquamarine, how we both wanted silver, how I wanted tiny stones for practicality.  You’d feel sorry for me, but I certainly don’t feel sorry for myself.  I had a husband who listened and that feels great.

Oh wow!! since you have decided to be judgemental, how do you know that was an engagement ring, especially if she keeps changing it? :/ In some cultures (making an assumption for this point), like mine, there is no concept of engagement ring or wedding bands.

What does someone not liking their ring have to do with a complete stranger completely judging it? Strange post.

LOTS of people like rings that others don’t. And have alternative sets. And different circumstances as to why.
