(Closed) Unattractive Ring

My guy might be giving me a family ring or a ring from his parents. He’s been clear that he’ll get me another one if it’s not my style. I’ve told him that I’ll love, appreciate, and wear any ring he gives me (or that his family gives me), but that it won’t feel like “my” engagement ring unless it’s my style. If it isn’t my style, I’ll happily wear it for a while as an ering, but that I’d like to switch it to another finger/hand at some point during the engagement to wear something that is more my style as my lifetime, forever engagement ring. He said that he’s happy w this and understands.

crackerjax :  a friend of mine did this. So sweet and meaningful. He had his mom’s band cut in half (she passed away) and it is the bottom half of his wife’s engagement ring. He wears the other half around his neck with his dog tags. Nearly melted when he told me and her ring is so pretty. Just throwing it out there. Hope that helps.

 What is it that you don’t like about it? Can you post a picture and show us? Maybe you just need help finding the right wedding band to go with it, or something.

If I were you i would tell him that the style is too old and that you want another one. hehe. 

Put hehe with a big smile hopefully it will ease the offense
