A vintage 1973 Hermes scarf for $2–yup, that’s right! It was an estate sale in the very chichi neighborhood of McLean. The lady was a widower of a Navy officer, and had tons of furs, gowns, etc. for sale. I couldn’t believe when I found it and my hands were shaking as I looked up the pattern on my phone. Somehow, the woman running the sale just charged me $2… I almost ran out of there with it!
The same scarf sold on Ebay for $398 so I put it on Etsy at $250. Wish me luck!

Thanks! I’m almost hoping it doesn’t sell! I might just keep it and frame it!

It’s already over. 🙁 Saturday was the last day and it was in McLean, VA.
I think they were so concerned about the “big ticket” items like the furs, furniture, art, etc. they didn’t even think about the scarves.
