felicitah86:  Perhaps if you added some sample pics, you would get more feedback. It’s really hard to envision your ideas from the descriptions alone.

I’m in LOVE with mercury glass so that’s my vote. I think the pearls and lace could get overwhelming quickly, too much stuff on the table just looks cluttered. I’m sure there are other places you could incorporate them though, maybe wrap lace around the silverware and fasten it with a pearl pin or hot glue little ones on the ends of the lace? Or if you’re doing place cards you could glue a couple tiny seed pearls on each one.

felicitah86:  I like the mercury glass with a lace runner, but I would skip the drapped pearls – it’s going to look too cluttered. If you want to get pearls in another way I would have pearl details on the wedding cake.

felicitah86:  Why not a combination of a few of these? We had two different table centrepieces and everyone commented on how lovely they both were.

For my wedding my husband and I wanted mercury glass votives, vases, etc., and we mixed and matched those with lanterns and flowers. Mercury glass can get expensive, but we found a tutorial on Pinterest to make your own with glass pieces, spray paint, vinegar, and spray bottles.  It worked great! I can send you a pic or two if you’re interested! I think we ended up with about 75-80 fake mercury glass pieces in all.

I voted mercury glass. Why not have the lace runner with mercury? Agree with PP pearls draped may be overkill

felicitah86:  I’ll have to look through the professional pictures of my own wedding, but this pic from Pinterest was my inspiration and ours’ looked pretty close! We skipped the flower petals though, and we also used birdcages filled with baby’s breath.
