My ring was $2,400

The setting was $990, so the diamond was $1410 for a Hearts on Fire 0.33 carat vvs2, I color. I know if we had shopped around separately for the diamond I could have gotten something a little bigger (ex: Blue Nile 0.43 carat, ideal cut, F, VVS2 – same price). But for FI who knew nothing about what to get me this was just too much for him to process/do when buying a ring and for me it wasn’t worth it for an extra 0.10 a carat. We wanted to be able to buy from our local jeweler too. My diamond sparkles so much, I love it and get tons of compliments on it.

My ring (or so I hope)- it’s the one we picked out, at least. Setting plus 1 carat cushion moissanite = around $2300. We would have gone with a cheaper setting but we both fell in love with it.

One of the best ways to go fab for under $2500 is to have a non-diamond center stone.  Plus side, instant uniqueness!  Here’s mine that cost around $650.  Total love!

$775! Antique from a pawn shop. Desperation makes people do crazy things….I wouldn’t sell this ring for all the money in the world.

This is my engagement ring – my fiancé’s lost his father when he was 9 years old but his amazing mother kept the engagement ring she had worn during their marriage, and gave it to him to propose to me with…it is from the mid-60s…and the diamond has a small flaw, ring is 14k white gold. It appraised for $1,500.

My ring was $2250, it’s a 1CT center stone and .35 surrounding cts. It’s a 6 prong halo princess cut. I actually got it used from idonowidont.com well I told my FI to purchase it there. It appriases for $4500. I love my ring!
