My ring is 0 32ct with total being 0.50 with the halo. My Diamond is also E colour with other good specs. I love my ring, but will admit that I had always dreamt of a bigger diamond until I became an adult and reality of affording life hit me in the face.

I think your ring is gorgeous and you have nothing to be insecure about. I feel like places like this site are the ONLY place people tend to gush over rings/diamond specs. Yes I had some people ask to look at my ring right after I got it…but I’ve been married for about 7 months now and have not had anyone ask to look at it in about that same amount of time. YOU are the only person that needs to love your ring. ๐Ÿ™‚

Isn’t this your 3rd engagement ring???  I saw you post a round mossianite halo, a mossianite solitaire and now this one.  Stop worrying about what others think and enjoy the ring you have now.  Maybe 3s a charm??

taylance :  I also bought the first you purchased over 3 years ago.  The price was “cheap” on overstock opposed to price for the same ring at Helzberg which sold for almost 3 times the amount.  As far as cheap, I’ve been wearing mine 24/7 since 2016 with absolutely no problems.

I hope this 3rd ring finally satisfies you and you stop feeling “insecure” about it.

Don’t worry about it, or just move to Germany, then you will have a bigger ring than most ๐Ÿ˜€

Mine is super tiny compared to the rings on this board and there are bigger ones around my friends too, but who cares?

taylance :  That’s great that you were able to get what you paid for it!  When we purchased mine, it was a little over $500.  Luckily, I’ve had good luck with my mossianites stones.  I  have another mossianite ring we purchased in 2008 that I’ve also been wearing 24/7 since 2008. The one I got in 2008 is 1/2 carat,  I like the smaller stone much more than the one carat.  I’ve always been a fan of smaller stones myself.

taylance :  haha then I think you should, it will solve your problem ๐Ÿ˜€

Honestly, don’t care about others. I get that all the time. Sales people always think I am still a student and won’t be able to afford anything, so they don’t always treat me nice. Can be frustrating, but also tells me to spend my money else where..

taylance :  Don’t worry about it! D (or E or F) color and VS+ is great, it’s probably the lowest I’d go on the 4Cs. Well-cut, XXX, AGS 0, etc. is non-negotiable. I’d drop the carat size for the other 3 Cs anytime. I find it quite displeasing to get a 2-3+ carat diamond but it’s an SI2 or below.

Also, in this day and age, where someone could spend a fraction of the price of a diamond and buy a huge H&A moissanite, or better yet, go to Chris CZ and get a beautiful H&A cz for a few bucks, having a large stone in and of itself is nothing to gloat about.

Lastly, it’s not about the money. Look at some of the celebs’ (or celebs married to billionaires). All of them practically have an unlimited budget on rings, but some still stick to modest sized rings. More power to them. They don’t have to try so hard.
