Hmm…my first instinct is go for something that hits the thigh, or go totally naked. Otherwise I think you might have a line! Beautiful dress, though. 🙂

If you’re set on something with legs, I’d go for the first product (From Kohl’s)… That being said, every time I’ve worn any kind of similar undergarment I’ve been hot and uncomfortable!

I have seen some of the Spanx summer line (with legs) made out of lighter fabric… that might be cooler than their normal fabric.

Have you thought about something like these?

Honestly I’d try a thong or one of the ‘pantyline-less’ briefs before the shapewear.

Anything you want to do up top is probably going to work out.

@multinational:  If you didn’t want to spend too much you can buy some nice seamless underwear at Victoria’s secret.

    dress looks amazing on you!

i would be careful with spanx and shorts type underwear they can leave lines along your legs and that would really show in your dress..

I think you’ll have lines with any kind of panties (even a seamless thong) just because the material looks so soft and clingy.

I would say a mid-thigh shapewear that goes up high.  I went on a search for something similar last week for a different reason (fitting into a pair of pants) and I ended up going with the Maidenform Flexees high waist / mid thigh shaper.  I found one on ebay for a pretty good discount.  It goes up to about the bra line and I think it has little loopies, so you could hook it onto a strapless bra or pull it over the back of the bra (especially a front closing bra if that exists in strapless? That would have a smoother back) for a more seamless look.  There really isn’t a line on the thighs- they have a raw edge so there’s no seam.  It was unfortunately visible in my pants, but it would be no issue in a dress, even a clingy dress.

Edited- high waist knee length shapewear with good reviews basically doesn’t exist.  That was what I was looking for and I gave up, so that’s why I suggested the mid thigh.
