Victoria’s Secret is not a good place to buy undergarments that you expect to properly fit.  I would recommend going to a department store and seeing what they have in longline bras – Macy’s or better.

Or, you could check out the longline bras at Her Room.  Really, you will need to purchase a bra and try it on with your dress to be sure it will work, but there are plenty of options with lower backs.  I spotted a couple of Carnival longline bras that seemed to have pretty low backs.

@bananon21:  I’m a seamstress at a bridal shop πŸ™‚  Needing a bra with a low back is totally understandable.  We carry them at our shop, and I’m sure any bridal shop would as well.  There are several styles – just be sure to get one that is not a thick foamy kind of material, like this:

as the way these low back bras are built is that the front comes down farther onto your torso to give support.  You don’t want a “stop” line in the front of your dress.  There is a thinner style like this:

That should not be thick material , and stops at your natural waistline, just behind the waistband of your dress, which will hide any stop lines.   Also, you can have the pushup cups sew into the bra if you feel you need more lift.  These bras may possibly size different on you than a standard bra, so its best to either order a couple options and return the ones that don’t fit…. or best of all, to find a place to try them on in person.

One final note:  If you feel like you need something that is really low under your armpits, its possible that the dress is sitting too low on your body…. Which might mean that you need the waist band a little tighter so that the dress doesn’t sink.  Of course, I can’t say for sure from here, or without seeing it on you, but take a look next time πŸ™‚ tug it up a smidge and see what happens πŸ™‚

Hope this helps!

Needs a bra for support?  That’s confusing to me, might want to have a trusted seamstress give you her opinion on the cups issue.

I’m wearing the Natalia also and am a 34A so I’m hitting the same problems you are! My fiance’s mom is doing my alterations for me, and she’s never done a wedding dress before so she doesn’t have anything helpful to suggest! Please let me know what you end up doing!
