I would not cover that neckline unless I *had* to– it’s so pretty and I think covering it will lose a lot of the style of the dress!  Once it’s altered and you’re wearing a good bra, you may not be uncomfortable with the cleavage. An overlay will completely cover it. Are you thinking something like this? (the jacket over the dress?) –http://www.bonny.com/collections/unforgettable/1299

My go-to bras are by Elomi.  I’m wearing one of their strapless bras and Spanx 😉  And I’ve already warned the fiance’ about the Spanx so he doesn’t find them for the garter toss 😉

Just popping in to say that I wouldn’t even WORRY about Spanx for that dress. You look so pretty as it is! You won’t be able to tell with that cut whether you have them on or not, and you’ll feel like a sausage. Get yourself a nice pair of high-cut briefs to smooth everything out, and roll with it.

Sorry that I can’t be of help on the other issues!

Ahh– we’re having a Catholic wedding also 🙂 My dress is Bonny 1014– it looks like it has a bolero, but it’s actually attached.  Same thing- I wanted to feel covered, and I also *needed* to be covered because of the Mass. Good luck!
