Aw. I can’t see your picture. πŸ™ Maybe it’ll pop up later?

I’m a moissy addict. Amora enhancement didn’t even exist when my husband proposed with an unenhanced 1 ct ring in 2010. But I feel unenhanced in round brilliants is plenty white enough for me. I wish I had a nice macro lens to show off the details of my ring. I’ll use a photo of it from the eBay listing:

I also have an 11+ carat tennis bracelet, several earring studs, a 6 stone pendant, a star-shaped pendant and drop earrings with moissy in them. Here’s what I wore on my wedding day save for the bracelet. I borrowed a CZ bracelet from my mom similar to the moissy one I bought later on:

I love their durability and rainbow sparkle! Oh, and I got these items for really good prices on eBay. Could never afford all that through the major retailers.

Same boat here! Got engaged with a 1 carat round before enhanced was available. It looks pretty white!

@VintageMartini:  Gorgeous!!! I’m not normally the biggest fan of halos, but the proportions of yours definitely appeals to me. Is the entire band moissy as well or diamond set? I think the combo of my being very rough on jewelry and the lack of many moissy-only bands turned me onto the solitaire style.

@LittleAudrey: I remember seeing your ring before as well! Looks so white! I wish I could see a more detailed shot. Unenhanced moissy seems to be going extinct if the bee is the worldwide norm. I wish I could see more non-Amora stones nowadays.

I love unenhanced moissanite. I have never liked very colourless stones and I like the warmth and moodiness of it.

Above is it is a few different environments – first is overcast, second is diffused sunlight, third and fourth is indoors natural daylight.

Last is in sunlight, but with some blockage from my head and body.

ETA: Amora enhancement was available when I bought all my stones. i just prefer warmer, unenhanced moissanite! As others pointed put, in many environments they are sparkling white, but in others, due also to my cut, they show their warmth. I estimate my ring stone to be about an M/N but that is just a guess! The others a bit whiter. All are sparkly though!

I do think the unenhanced will be less popular as time goes on, especially when Amora Gem is available, which is going to be way too white for me (F) though maybe for a fun step cut RHR (Krupps or something). Also, Charles & Colvard is starting to make all their stones treated with Forever Brilliant, so unenhanced is eventually not even available, and BTD is only growing Amora Gem, so unless someone else starts making unenhanced moissanite, it won’t even be available. That is why I bought my pendant and studs now!

@pfinarffle:  Your wish is my command. It’s reflecting the blue in the gnome one. The first picture shows it in the worse possible lighting situations.

@RayKay:  I love the uniqueness of your set!!! And your ering still looks pretty white to me despite the yellow gold setting. Pretty impressive. Kinda sad to think about, but you’re probably right that unenhanced moissy will likely become extinct in the next 10 years! That too is a reason I’ve been hoarding pieces lately.

@VintageMartini:  That might be why I liked your halo so much! I dunno. There was something about it. It’s just different to me.

@LittleAudrey:  That’s such a pretty setting! I love all the hidden gems around your solitaire! I love how moissy picks up the colors of what’s nearby. But I’m a fan of color change gems in general. So Alexandrite, diaspore etc are my favorite gems. Moissy is, to me, the white version of the color change gems, not the same way the other color change gems change colors, but just the way it reflects its environment so well and has that rainbow fire.

Mine is a 1ct oval Moissantie center with a diamond double halo and split pave band. 1.37 total, including the wedding band.  Size 7 for scale πŸ™‚ I would say the color rating is probably a K, it only looks pale yellow in natural sun light, almost to the point where it would be sold as a fancy yellow… The color doesn’t bother me, I think it make the ring look a little more interesting.  If you are expecting a pure white go with the enhanced moissanite.  I ordered thought MoissaniteCo after reading a lot of good reviews here, I ordered Sunday morning with the free 2-3 day FedEx Express option, it shipped Tuesday, and it arrived Friday.  Ehen I took my ring to have to stone set the jeweler asked where I ordered my diamond from πŸ™‚

Sorry the pictures are so huge and wavy, dang camera phone πŸ™‚Moissanite, Moissanite! No enhancement here, I’m addicted to moissanite now, I don’t think I could ever buy a diamond again.

Mine is unenhanced and I love love LOVE my ring. I only wear one ring (which I got on my wedding day) but I’m thinking of having a band made for it for maybe like, my 5 year anniversary.
