So we’re trying to pick our bridal party in the next week because some of the people we’re asking are coming into town for Christmas and we really want to ask them face-to-face.
Problem is – we have at least 5 guys that we want to be in it… but only 3 girls that i really want. We could have 4 girls but I really don’t want to have her apart of my bridal party so i would rather stay with 3.
Has anyone out there had an uneven number? How did it work with the processional and pictures? Please share pictures too if you have them!

6 girls, 3 guys… No photos here, but I have seen some so hopefully other bees can post pics for ya.
We’re having a dude walk out with 1 gal on each arm.

I had an uneven number, and I don’t think it affected the pictures at all. We had the guys walk out first from the side, and the bridesmaids came one by one down the aisle before me. Would that work?
I posted a few pictures from our processional here: http://www.weddingbee.com/2010/06/19/los-angeles-outdoor-wedding-2/, if that helps! 🙂

There is nothing that says you have to have even sides. And a good photographer can made any number work.

I went to a wedding last weekend and they had an uneven number and it was totally fine. They had more girls so some of the groomsman walked two bridesmaids down the aisle. The way you’re going to do it you could have the first two groomsman walk the MOB and MOG in or something. I don’t think anyone will notice much in the pictures. Here’s a guest photo from the wedding I mentioned.

5 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen

Lots of people have uneven numbers. Don’t have someone in your wedding party that you wouldn’t normally ask just for the sake of having even sides. That person will be in your wedding photos and everything.

we’re doing 6 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen

I recently posted about this. We currently have three on each side and my fiance intends on asking a fourth friend. If he says yes, that’s fine. I don’t plan on adding another bridesmaid just to even things out, since I don’t really have any close friends.

I had 4 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen. We had the bridesmaids walk down the aisle alone, and then one of the groomsmen just walked two out.

i am having 6 girls and 2 guys! i had some trouble with it at first, but i didn’t want to force Fiance to have people he was not comfortable having and i didn’t want to take out any of my girls. people have convinced me it doesn’t matter and its one of things that on the day, i know it won’t matter AT ALL.
my sister also had 6 girls to 3 guys, here is a pic.
