We have 3 Bridesmaids and 5 Groomsmen. I am having my brother stand with my girls at the ceremony so it will be even for the ceremony. When they are walking back down the isle I will have my brother and the best man escort my maid of honor.

Ours is uneven, too. 5 BMs, 6 Groomsmen. He asked his guys before he proposed to me, so I had spaces to fill. I didn’t want to ask the 6th to be part of the bridal party because of the way she has criticized the relationship (and just been a terrible and unsupportive friend), and I don’t want to be walking on eggshells the entire wedding process.
Embrace it. Have the girls do the processional alone, the guys come out with the groom, then have a few girls do the recessional with 2 guys on her arm. (I’m putting the single one with the two guys, she’ll get a kick out of that!)

We just published this article that I think can help solve the question of what to do with an uneven wedding party. Let us know what you think! [link removed per self promotion policy]

I had my maid of honor and two bridesmaids and my husband had a best man and 5 groomsmen. I decided that I would include my 3 brothers as bridesmen to even out the numbers. During the processional and recessional the groomsmen went down an up the aisle by themselves and the bridesmen escorted the bridesmaids and maid of honor.

heyimkate: I had four bridesmaids and two groomsmen and it worked fine. I just had them walk separately.
