@FutureMrs_N:  I wasn’t a mommy bride nor am I a mommy now.  I just wanted to say congrats on your little blessing and that I’m sure you’ll be fine.  <3

Congrats!  I got engaged in August, set a date for January, bought my dress in September, and got pregnant in October.  As for the dress, six months is plenty of time to find a flattering dress for your post-baby size.  Everything will work out.

If you breastfeed, your boobs amy still be huge, but other than that, you can easily be back to your normal size.

Congratulations!

Congratulations on everything! I would make sure you guys are on track financially with the baby coming and the wedding. Money issues can stress anyone out. Also, figure out your support system for both your wedding and your bundle of joy coming! Will grandparents or siblings be willing to babysit while you hit the gym? Is your wedding party willing to pitch in with some wedding planning?

Good Luck!

@FutureMrs_N:  Congrats!  We had set our date for September 2013 and then found out I was pregnant and due in August 2013, so we decided to move our date up.  I’ll be 6 months when we get married this April.  It’s great that you have a supportive family! Becoming a wife and mother so soon is overwhelming!  But such a blessing and I couldn’t be more excited!  I hope everything works out for you πŸ™‚

@FutureMrs_N:  If it were me, I’d wait about two months after the baby is born to look for a dress.  This may limit your choices somewhat, but it can be done.  I actually bought the sample, so I got to take it home that day.  If you go the sample route, then you can wait even longer.  Just remember that you may very well have the belly pooch for awhile and don’t choose something thinking that it’ll go away before the wedding.  Also, I would think that it’s okay to buy a dress a size or two smaller, but don’t be over optimistic.  It’s always easier to take a dress in than let one out.  Ask the sales consultant.  You’re probably not the only one going through this.  The tailor (genius) who is doing mine is also working on a dress for a girl who will be 8 months at her wedding in April.

Congrats on your baby, your engagement, and getting accepted into your program! πŸ˜€

I don’t want to cause you any stress, but be gentle with yourself about losing that baby weight. Everyone is different! Some ladies manage to get it off in 3 months (some even sooner!) and some take 9 months to a year-even active, naturally skinny/petite mamas! I don’t know how fancy/expensive/designer you plan on for your dress, but I was 5 months pregnant when I got married- I bought the dress I wanted 2 sizes too big, and then had it altered the week before (I’m not sure if that’s an unsually short timeframe or not. My dress was very simple-and I was big enough that it hardly needed anything done to it!).

I try it on again every once in a while (been married 2 years now) and can’t believe how huge it is on me! haha!

Best wishes!

@FutureMrs_N:  congrats! You know, I actually think this will totally help you steer clear of bridal brain. And that is why the empire dress was made, my dear. Just stay healthy and focused on that baby – everything else will fall into place. πŸ™‚
