Awwww. I think we’ve all had moments like that. I get “hangry” a lot, and Darling Husband is very good at picking up the very few slight warning signs and will put a piece of cheese in my mouth before it gets crazy. He does little cute things rather than grand gestures. Before our honeymoon he bought beer cozies to bring with us to keep my bottles of Coke cold on the beach. He’ll make dinner if I’ve had a rough day even though he’s the one who works crazy hours. He always tells me how beautiful I am even if I look terrible, he’s just generally very sweet. During the wedding planning he was so supportive and like your Fiance, he was just SO excited to get married, it was so cute.

My groom will say at unexpected moments (like just now when I’m reading weddingbee “Hey! We’re getting married!” He’s so excited, it’s adorable.

i love FI’s excitement over our wedding. so many times in the past few month i have asked him what he was smiling about, and his answer was “we’re getting married.” it never gets old πŸ™‚

Fiance was in a bad accident just over a week ago and since he’s come home from the hospital he has been so over the top affectionate and i must say, i’m loving it. he’s always a very affectionate person, but this takes it to a new level and although of course i wish the accident had never happened, this is a pretty nice side effect.

My Fiance always said “I want to marry you” before we got engaged.  Now that we’re engaged, at least a couple times a week he will tell me “I can’t wait to marry you.”  So, naturally I asked him “What are you gonna say to me every day after we’re married?”  And he said “I can’t wait to have a baby with you.”

Sweet, yes.  But I was kind of scared lol.

Just about every single day, my lovely Fiance asks to marry me again. We’ll be cooking dinner, and out of the blue: “Will you marry me?” It really keeps us excited! And we’ve been engaged for 9 months!

But the biggest grand gesture came last weekend. I had a TON of papers to grade on a Sunday, so I left him at the house. The following weekend, his parents were coming to visit (and stay with us) so he knew that I was stressed about getting the house together and keeping up with school at the same time.

When I came home from a long day of grading, he had scrubbed ALL of the hardwood floors of our apartment! The whole house smelled like Murphy’s Oil Soap! The floors had never looked so good! He took em on a tour, showing me all the things he cleaned and dusted in the house. He told me he didn’t want me worried about the house for the next week πŸ™‚ Not exactly wedding-related, but he is so amazing πŸ™‚

his first day back at work after our wedding… (i was still off for one more day) he called me during the day (which he normally does)… and says “BABES, I had to refer to you as my wife for the first time to my client just now!” :*) so sweet.

@Quietserenity: Oooooh puppies!! Love, love, love.  Now that’s something I could go for πŸ™‚  We already have two, but that does not stop us from going into Petland once a month!

@Quietserenity: That’s the cutest thing ever :))

@bakerella: I get “hangry” a lot too (love the term!) and Fiance can usually handle it pretty well & knows the warning signs!

One of the sweetest things he said a while ago, before we were even engaged, was that when he looks for his/our next car, it has to have room for us to put baby seats and toys in. I was totally thrown, because it just came out so naturally, like “Yep, we’re gonna get married and have kids, obviously.” Just cute πŸ™‚

Fiance had a terrible day yesterday (tire blew out on the way to work, received other bad news) so I wasn’t expecting even to hear from him until late at night right before going to sleep. Instead, he called me to meet him at a gas station at the end of his long, difficult day, before he even had a chance to eat dinner, to spend an hour out in the cold fiddling with my tires trying to get the low pressure light to go off. Not only that, but he brought double chocolate chip cookies for me and my sister (who’s staying with me while she looks for a place). It was the sweetest, most thoughtful thing ever. I’m so lucky he’s my FH πŸ™‚

I dont know if this is the same thing. But for my wedding gift the day of my wedding my husband surprised me (and believe me it was a HUGE surprise) with a professionaly made photobook. It had all of our emails , facebook messages and his favorite photos in it from our three years together. I cried when i saw a post that said “From: Bailey to: Andy I miss you, come back to me” (we were doing long distance for four months!)

@Quietserenity: I swear the same words have come out of my mouth! Darling Husband knows enough by now that if he’s running late he calls and tells me to have a snack because he’s been faced too many times with me pouting, huffing and snapping at him when he comes in the door because he’s two hours late and didn’t make me happy in some random way in the past four days, LOL! He’d look at me and say “When was the last time you ate?” and I’d say “I didn’t eat because you said you’d be home and I”M HUNGRY!!!!!”. I learned the word Hangry here on the Bee btw πŸ˜‰ It’s brilliant!

@Quietserenity: much better, thanks! he finally went back to work yesterday. it’s so lonely in our apartment again! (i work from home)

@bakerella: Fiance and i both get a mean case of the hangries from time to time. cheese is definitely an excellent remedy.
