zstbee84 :  my husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. While I had no confirmed pregnancy losses, after 2 successful pregnancies I believe I had several early losses / CPs. I had SCH with both my successful pregnancies so we all suspect my losses were due to heamatomas forming and taking baby with them. After so long of trying for my son I stopped taking tests unless my period was more than a week late.

im in the UK and here they won’t test you until you’ve been trying a year if you’re under 35 (which I was at the time) and then our local area requires you to be trying for 2 years with UI before getting IVF on the NHS. NHS won’t do IUI for UI as it isn’t any better than just having sex at the right time.

like you we went through every test and I think it was the worst to be told there was nothing wrong and therefore nothing to fix. We were told to try a supplement called proxeed which isn’t cheap. It says that you should take it for 4months or until pregnant. Well we got pregnant on month 4 with a sticky bean both times we used it.

infertility sucks balls. It sucks balls big time and unless you’ve lived it you can’t get how much it sucks balls. That said after 2.5 years I’d given up hope and I had started to plan a life without kids. We were booked to do our NHS IVF and when my period was late a few days before our appointment to Learn how to do the injections I was shocked to see two pink lines. After all that time and all that trying we managed it naturally while I had the IVF drugs in my fridge. I still think my body saw those needles and decided to play ball.

So I had two chemical pregnacies, followed by a miscarriage at 6 weeks. I switched Obgyn because the first one didn’t take my concerns seriously. I did a ton of research before meeting obgyn #2 and he suggested everything I wanted before trying again which was low dose baby aspirin and taking progesterone pills. I conceived my daughter and had a healthy pregnancy, she is now 14 months and I am 19 weeks pregnant with baby #2 again with the help of progesterone pills. Testing was never done for me, my doctor went straight to these methods and they seemed to work for me

zstbee84 :  I had 2 MMCs both conceived on the first try. After that it took me 2 years to get pregnant again. We tried what felt like everything- 3 IUIs, a fresh IVF transfer and finally our second FET took and split into identical twins which I’m currently pregnant with. It still makes no sense to me that we got pregnant twice so easily, but my RE said he’s seen that many times. The only thing that came up was 2% morphology on my husbands side. We also didn’t end up doing PGT so maybe we have bad quality embryos, but we might never really know. I wouldn’t worry at the 3-4 month point, but I know easier said than done!

I feel stupid for asking, but have you read “it starts with the egg” and implemented the changes recommended, including avoid boa and fragrances and supplementing with Vitamin d and coq10? Some doctors don’t believe this helps, but to me it can’t hurt. For what it’s worth, my best friend went through 3 miscarriages (untested) before getting pregnant with her sticky bean. It’s a numbers game to some extent whether you go through Ivf or continue to try naturally. It seems improving egg quality can never hurt.

Best or luck!

lucyinsky :  I second this suggestion. I had read the book and was doing many of the recommendations already (eating very clean, no caffeine etc) but was taking the supplements. After our third CP I got serious and eliminated plastics, started acupuncture and took all the supplements and was pregnant a month later – and 12 weeks later I’m still pregnant! The supplements were so much cheaper than the testing and procedures we would’ve had later on if
