Were any other bee’s unfriended by someone on facebook b/c they weren’t invited to your wedding?
I was! So petty but it’s true. My college room mate unfriended me and my Bridesmaid (we all went to the same college). It amazes me how petty some people can be. She literally sent me a message on fb stating she felt saddened that we weren’t close enough for her to be invited to the wedding and that she only wishes me the best and then she unfriended me and my Bridesmaid or Best Man. The crazy part is that we haven’t seen her or communicated with her other then fb for over 10 years! Did she really think she would be invited?

Yes. Although she sent me a ranting and very vicious FB message before blocking me telling me what she thought. It was so unfortunate but it only proved that there was a reason she wasn’t invited in the first place…clearly she wasn’t a real friend.

@Treejewel19: that was my thought too. Clearly she wasn’t meant to be invited anyway.

Such behavior pretty much justifies your not inviting that “friend.”

I know I will probably get some negative responses for my comment but I personally think that is the problem we expose too much of personal lives on facebook and we get upset when we get negative feedback. Facebook is used entirely too much to let people know what you are doing for example I have a cousin who post stupid stuff like I am on my way to the nail shop, taking the dog to get shampooed, etc…. WGAF really!!! Keep your business to yourself and you wont have to worry about what someone has to to say.

You two were obviously not on the same page as to how close the two of you were, but the unfriending is done now, which means no more contact, situation over, right? Since you did not feel very attached to begin with, I’d assume that neatly wraps things up now for you. Perhaps not the ideal note to end things on but friendships fizzling out rarely end on a fantastic note.

Then why do you care if she unfriended you? It was a good way to thin the herd on my FB when I got a few unfriends.
