Myself and my bridal party of 3 decided we would just do a celebratory dinner in lieu of a bridal party. The wedding is on Sunday. We agreed to meet between 8-830 at a restaurant.
One of the bridesmaids not only comes late by 20 minutes, but also brings her sister in law that no one has ever met, without checking with me or anyone else for that matter. WTF!????? Needless to say, I did not feel comfortable discussing details and exciting items in front of someone I did not know.
Are people really that clueless. I did not speak a word the entire evening I was so pissed.
Then right afterwards she advertises how they are going to go to a local bar to continue their festivities.
And then she said how lovely it was to have a casual dinner amongst friends.
Boy did I feel like an afterthought.. I didn’t know whether to scratch her eyes out or curse her out.
I went outside and cried for 15 minutes instead.
Just had to get that off my chest.
Thanx for listening. Now I know why etiquette books are written…..for dumb f**** like her who need to buy a clue.

Ha did you talk to her about it?? Id sit down and chat it out at least before the wedding.. you may be holding on to some anger and you dont want that to show through on your wedding…. thats annoying and rude, and its not even like she offered an excuse like hey my sister in law just dropping into town and I didnt want to leave her… Sorry that sucks

Awww your emotions are just high right now. I’m 100% cewrtain your bridesmaid had no clue this was crossing the line to you. You should bring it up to her and let her know how you feel. In an honest and nice way, because the wedding is on sunday and you don;t want there to be any hard feelings! Its ok! It is just a dinner, and it was just her extended family. I understand your upset, but you need to look at the bigger picture, you are getting married on Sunday!! yay! anyways, have a great day, and I’m hopeful it will all workout for you!
