Are you prepared to end the friendship?

Also… that is a huge shower! How did you notice anyone wasn’t there?

Canisito :  I had to pay for her plate

Did you host your own shower?

Got it. I think if she’s important to you then you need to let this go. If you are worried about her flaking; I can assure you that (no matter what you do)someone will flake on your event because life happens.

julies1949 :  A shower that sized I’d be offering to help the host financially…

You probably shouldn’t have already started the invite process by getting her address, sending a save the date, and sending a shower invite.

I don’t know your profession but maybe you shouldn’t burn bridges with people in your industry.

I wouldn’t send an invite. And if she asks where it is (tho I doubt she will) -I tell her “oh, I didn’t think you were really interested in going. Don’t worry about it”

MsAfarian :  I wouldn’t have agreed to a shower that size. A shower is supposed to be for your nearest and dearest, not all the women invited to the wedding.

You could either just not send her a formal invite- and if she asks at some point just be blunt with her or you could message her after the formal invites go out and you possibly haven’t received her RSVP and say something along the lines of “Hey! Just wanted to touch base with you, I know you’re busy and all but our wedding guest list is very tight and wanted to make sure you’ll be there.”

julies1949 :  Each to their own, I don’t think there is a wrong or right way to do anything.
