hey bees, there is a similar thread with girl names and I love them all. My husband and I have picked out a girls name already, there are a million girls names I love and not so many boys names. My husband has none he likes much. :/ since you all had so many ideas in the girls name thread I wonder if you have some for us. We’re looking for something not in the top fifty, old fashioned, but not too weird people wouldn’t recognize it. I like names like Elton, Cedric, Elliot, Miles. Cedric is probably my favorite. We seem to be very unlikely to use any of those.

I love Elliot.
What about Elijah? Isaac? Declan? Sebastian?
DH and I tossed around Miles for a while, but we’re going with two family names for our boy, in case he’s the only one.

I really like the name Abram, just saying! 🙂

My husband and I have the same problem! I have a few I like and we have yet to find one he likes.
I like Clark and Dean both of which I think are old-fashioned without being too popular.

- Wedding: March 2017 - Outside in Paris
I love the name Orson. My husband doesn’t like it.

I personally like Miles. I also love Jasper, Rowan, Emmett, Jack, Cade, Eric, Ronan, Kieran.

hikingbride : I have a Clark and if this next baby is a boy, he’ll be Dean! I guess we have similar taste in names.

I love Cedric and Elliot. I live in Belgium and Cedric is definitely not uncommon here (I think there are 3 in my office of ~100 ppl).

If I had had a son, he would have been Teague. Everett and Everest were the middle names I was interested in.

When I was pregnant I decided on a girls name-then we found out it was a boy. I couldn’t find any boys names I liked! We ended up choosing the name Tanner for my son and everyone says they love it. I had a daughter the second time around and named her Kinsley 🙂

I had my heart set on Gibson (like the guitar) for a boy. No boy ever came along, though.
I also liked Campbell, Avery, Dixon, Elias, and Hugo.

TravelingBride31 : yeah, it’s funny how the trends are different in different countries. Cedric is the 914th most popular baby boys name of 2016 in the states so probably not a lot of them running around the US.
MsPlucky : I love Sebastian, but my husband sings me little mermaid songs if I suggest it.
leighladybug33 : love your list, I’ll bring it to hubby. Our dog’s name is jack and we joked about changing it to so we could use jack for the kid. Why did I do that to myself? I think the name grew on me because the dog is so great though.
Lots of amazing suggestions here!! We won’t be using anything biblical. Although I love Abraham. Why is it so hard??

I like Tobias and Nathaniel. (Nate or Toby for short)
I like the idea of Avery but all it reminds me of is avery labels and hours of frustration trying to get mail merge to work…

My son’s name is Theodore, we call him Theo. I think either of those would be great!

So… DH and my first choice boy name is Castor, however we’re both coming up with a short list of names we like to present each other with on NYE so we can come up with alternatives in case Castor doesn’t fit our boy (if we have a boy) when he’s born. My short list so far (with edits always being made):
Ramsey, Caelus, Malachi, Desmond, Blaise, and Cato.
And now, I added Cedric, because I just realized how much I love it. lol
