I need help bees. I am hosting my Maid/Matron of Honor Baby Shower next month, and need some creative games. We have done the typical don’t say baby and cotton ball pick up games at her last shower, so I want this one to be different. Any ideas would be much appreciated. It’s a girl!

Kinda gross but at the first baby shower i went to they smushed up different candy bars in diapers. The person who guessed the most right won. Another was to guess how big the mom’s stomach was when you measured around it.

Were we at the same baby shower? lol The baby diaper game is hilarious. We also did something I had never seen before… everyone got a paper plate and a pencil. We had to put the plate on top of our heads and draw a baby. The scribble that got the most “cute” votes wins. (The added joke to this is that beforehand, the host drew an elaborate portrait and showed it last, as her “scribble”)

My first thought was the “dirty diaper” game. Hahaha.
Here’s a few others:
- Never Say Baby: Materials- baby safety pins or another type of baby object you can place on a string for each woman at the party as well as string or yarn, enough for each woman to wear as a necklace). Have each woman place the necklace with the baby safety pins around her neck when she gets to the party. The rules for this baby shower game are given out at the beginning of the baby shower that whenever someone says the word “baby” during the shower, any woman who calls it out gets a pin from the other woman who stated the word. At the end of the baby shower, the woman with the most pins wins a prize.
- Baby Trivia:(Materials: Click for More Information) – Even the biggest baby know-it-alls will be stumped by questions such as “How many diapers does a baby use in one year?” and will get a kick out of this collection of outlandish and surprising facts!
- Guess the Baby Item:(Materials- any baby products and blindfold). A bag of baby items are placed in front of the mother-to-be for her to take one item out at a time blindfolded and tell her baby shower guests what item she has in her hands. This is really fun baby shower game when you choose some crazy baby toys or products.
- Guess the Baby Picture: Ask for everyone’s pictures prior to the baby shower. Have all the pictures in a collage and make lines for people to fill in who they think the babies are out of the girls at the baby shower. If most women don’t know each other, just have the pictures of the mother, mother-in-law, sisters, and mommy-to-be. See how many people guess right. You can make copies of the baby picture collage to see how many can guess right!
I got these ideas from this site

At the last baby shower I was at we had to guess the name of the baby animal that matched the mother name given.
We also had a list of old wives tales about guessing what the baby was, and we had to write down if that method said boy or girl.

I’ve heard the candy bar game was always a hit. I’m doing it for this next baby shower game I’m hosting with some friends, just need to finish finding the candy bars!
Basically, it’s a match game, and when you get a match, you get a candy bar that is related to that term.
Twizzlers = Umbilical Cord
100 Grand = Hospital Bill
Mounds = Breast Engorgement

Last shower I hosted we play baby pictionary… I already had a little white board and markets so it was an easy game to put together. Everyone groaned and moaned at first about it b/c we all hate drawing ANYTHING, but after getting started we had SO MUCH FUN…… gotta love trying to draw “breastfeeding” BWAHAHAHA.
I’ve always hated the poopy diaper game with the candy and refused to play. Just too gross for me. lol
