My wedding will have a vintage/rustic theme, and so far I have decided on the fact that I want the floral arrangements to be warm, summery colors (peach, rose pink, and lemon yellow) with hints of brighter blues. I am SO INDECISIVE about what I want for my bridesmaids, however. I know for sure that I would prefer for them to NOT have identical dresses, but could use ideas regarding more unique outfitting choices.
Is it too tacky to have all four girls wear four different colors? How close do the dress materials need to be to still mesh well? I love the idea of different colored tights, but I’m getting married in August in Indiana, where it may very well be extremely hot outside…so I was thinking of definitely telling them to go wild with their shoe choices.
I want it to be mismatched enough to be “funky” but not so much that it looks out of control or throws off my theme.
Any ideas are welcome, and especially any pictures that Bees have of fun and unique vintage bridesmaid dresses?

You could always go with different dresses but identical color. Or different color and different style…however, I personally would recommend doing something to tie them all together…like maybe the same shoes or the same flower hair clip or something.

Mine are all wearing the same dress but different shades of pastels (yellow, lavendar, pink and grey). They are all the same dress material, so I think it will go well. They will also all have matching bouquets.

@girlfromwollaston: I’ve seen something similar to this and it was gorgeous. I’d look into it 🙂

I don’t think mismatching dresses are tacky at all–it lets the bridesmaids show a little individuality! Have you checked etsy? I just did a quick search for vintage-inspired bridesmaid dresses and found some, but a lot were prints. Not sure if it’s what you were going for. Here’s an example (I’m not affiliated with this seller or shop!)
Sounds like a cute theme!
