Is anyone doing anything unique for their unity during their ceremony?
We’ve decided to do a Beer Unity Ceremony – Black and Tan. Bells Two Hearted and Guiness. We’ll have the bottled beers on ice in a bucket and 1 etched glass with our names and wedding date. We have a special spoon to pour the Guiness in on top of the Bells Two Hearted to create that separation effect.
We wanted something different. Out of all the weddings I’ve photographed, I’ve never seen this. I’ve saw white and red wines mixed.

I think that’s a great idea if you’re both beer drinkers (my Fiance would probably love that lol). I’ve also never heard of the white and red wine idea, but I like it.
My fiance is Jewish, so we will be doing the Kiddush during our ceremony – sharing wine from one cup to symbolize our unity.

@jmaze: We are doing an Unity Cross. It’s SO cool.
You can find the story of each piece (the inner and out parts of the cross are separate. IE Outer cross is the husband, the Inner is the wife, and the three pegs are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) here:
