I am looking for some idea’s and thoughts…. I am getting married at a community hall in Pickering, ON on Oct.20th. We are able to put a tent outside, but am wondering of any idea’s or thoughts on a unique way to do our ceremony without the tent rental ($2000 for tent and chairs, for the ‘incase it rains’ seems quite high to me)
Has anyone been to a wedding with the ceremony inside? What unique ways have you seen it done? My girlfriend just recently had everyone standing around, with the dance floor acting as the aisle, but I wasn’t overly fond of this, as many people could not see.
Any suggestions and idea’s are welcomed!

Some bees have held their ceremony inside where the guests sat around the reception tables.
You could also have a backp plan to have the groomsmen move the chairs to the dance floor for the ceremony.

A rain plan of using the table seating sounds like a good idea.

if you want to keep it outside why not just provide umbrellas? if you’re the type that just goes with the flow, i know some people wouldn’t do it, but i’ve seen it done and i thought wow that would make for some cool photos! but you obviously have to be the go with the flow type of person and adventurous like that.

I’ve been to lots of weddings where all the tables were set without chairs and the seating was in the dance floor area. You can easily move the chairs to the tables after the cermony.
Also, I read another Bee’s post where she said most everyone was sitting at tables during the ceremony. She did however, have her close family sitting in 2 rows which created the asile. I thought it was a great idea!
