My wedding is in two and a half weeks and I’ve had trouble figuring out what to do for a guest book…
I don’t know if I want to go with the traditional fancy book or something unique that I could display in my house.
I’ve tried looking on pinterest but I find it’s the same few suggestions over and over again.
What are you doing for yours?

I kinda like the idea to have a (some what) cheap engagement photo album made and have them sign the pages around the pictures in that. It’s different but it’s something entertaining for them to look at as well as for you to look back on and then read all the comments.

It’s not unique per se but I really liked what we did, which is have guests sign a mat in a large picture frame. You would have an engagement picture in the center the day of the wedding, but then later replace it with a wedding photo. We love that we can display our guests well-wishes in our home. It’s a really special item for us.

We had two guest books. One was a Bible, and we had everyone highlight and sign next to their favorite/most meaninful verse. It turned out to be incredible cool and special!
The other was a bench. My dad built all the benches we used for seating at the wedding and we took one and made it into a guest bench. It turned out SO cool! We currently have it sitting in our guest bedroom against the window! 🙂

Travel has been the through line during our relationship so we will have a framed map to sign. I’m debating asking guests to put a pin from where they came from or where we met them. Our friends and family travel alot too so they should like it. It will hang on the upstairs landing after the wedding. Do something personal to both of you

We ordered a large canvas from Etsy with our names, wedding date and initial in the middle, with lots of blank space around it. People signed the canvas and now it’s hanging in our home. I love that we see it every day.

- Wedding: September 2012 - Southern California
My husband & I are huge baseball fans so we had our guests ‘autograph’ baseballs for us & they are now displayed in our house. I’m at work (shh..) so I can’t post any pictures.

This is ours! A friend and I made it, and I absolutely love it! My favourite wedding piece to date!

msmellybean: I spent a long time searching for a guest book, and just figured it out last week. I wanted something I could display but in neutral tones and not overbearing. We got a huge mirror from home goods (35$), some etching cream from michaels ($7 with coupon), and stencils ($4 with coupon). We etched our last name into the center of the mirror, and will have guests sign the mirror (I’m thinking in silver sharpies so it somewhat blends but is still legible when you’re up close).

my sister and best friend made us a personalized puzzle and everyone signed the box. So convenient to keep out of the way but still look at whenever we feel like it. Plus I love puzzles.

We had a Polaroid camera next to ours and guests took pictures of themselves (mostly funny ones) then signed it. It turned out amazing

We ordered a platter off etsy with our names, wedding date, with starfish and a pretty border (beach themed wedding and perfect for our home by the beach) and got some ceramic markers for our guests to sign. Then, after the wedding, we can use the platter when we entertain/holidays and smile 🙂

We’re using an old beat-up guitar of ours that we’ve been abusing since we were teenagers playing seedy venues lying about our age just to be able to play there haha – and also we’re thinking of doing a Polaroid guestbook since our house is covered in Polaroids from my lifelong obsession with photography! 😛
