I am giving very practical gifts.  My parents will get what they prize the most-photos, in the form of a photobook.  I got the Bridesmaid or Best Man and Maid/Matron of Honor slippers to walk around in before the ceremony, a really pretty letterpressed card, their jewelry (earrings and necklace) and a giftcertificate for their hair styling the day of the wedding.  They appeared to love everything.  Oh, and I put it all in a pretty box from Michael’s and tied them with a thick satin ribbon and a silk flower.

I’m in a similar position.  For my in-laws I’m going to get them a gift card and something they can keep forever (I’m not sure yet, maybe a picture fram for our wedding picture?)

My parents however… I am clueless. I thought about getting them a weekend away, they are hosting and paying for our wedding.. but I am not sure.

My maid of honor is my sister, I paid for her to get a brazilian wax (we went together, it was fun)- bought her a nice pair of shoes for her dress, she can also use them for work and paid for her nails.
