Is anyone walking down the aisle to any unique songs??
Both my Fiance and I LOVE classic rock (Billy Joel, Elton John, Jackson Browne, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac…etc), and I was hoping to find something upbeat and fun which talks about Love…etc.
I would love to hear what everyone else is doing!!

I was doing some research and found the song “Storybook Love” from The Princess Bride. It’s not as upbeat as I was picturing, but the lyrics are amazing and it’s by Mark Knopfler who is the Lead Singer of Dire Straits, my FI’s favorite band of all time! We may have a winner!

Check out vitamin string quartet. Very cool songs for processional

My processional will be to a guitar version of Storybook Love! 🙂 Our recessional will be to “What I Wouldn’t Do” by A Fine Frenzy. Not sure about the bridal party processional yet. I’m strongly considering something by Vitamin String Quartet.

For the wedding party, I was thinking about doing “I Hear Your Heart Beating Everywhere” by Jackson Browne, but even though it’s a fantastic song, it’s not very well known.
I was kinda hoping the bees coud give suggestions for something that our guests will recognize. Something fun and up-beat!

I was joking with my beloved at the weekend… he’s VERY traditional, i am not, so i was winding him up that it’s MY processional, so i get to choose the song. He said “here comes the bride, of course?” I said “no, probably something cheery, maybe Abba, ‘I do, I do, I do, I do’ could be a good bet.” Poor love nearly had a seizure.
But do you know? Even though i was joking at first, i am sorely tempted 🙂

i just started thinking about this actually…apparently, “here comes the bride” by the spin doctors is not approrpriate bridal music, according to my dad =p
as of today, this is what im leaning towards:
wedding party: “i cant help falling in love” – elvis
me: somewhere over the rainbow
recessional: all you need is love – beatles
we are having a keyboardist and guitarist for the ceremony.

How about “Lucky” by Jason Mraz or “Our Love is Here to Stay” by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong? They are on my processional short list.

“History in the Making” by Darius Rucker

I’m not for sure yet, but so far I’m leaning towards:
Wedding Party: Not sure yet
Me: “Sunshine” by Steve Azar
Recessional: “All you need is Love” The Beatles
We’re just playing ours over the sound system at the church. For my song, I wanted something that wasn’t too slow, yet it was still at a good beat to walk down the aisle to, and “Sunshine” gives me chills when I listen to it and picture myself walking down the aisle 🙂

1979 by SP: when boys are gathering at the front
5 years time: noah and the whale (bridesmaids entrance)
big yet plan: angus and julia stone (bride’s entrance)
home: edward sharp and the magnetic zeros (exit song)
…..however i’ve changed my mind a million times. Ever since we ditched the idea of having someone play the harp I feel i’ve got alot more options!!

Boyfriend or Best Friend joked yesterday that we need to do the Imperial March (Darth Vader’s theme) for our recessional. I’m really tempted.

I am walking in to cannon in D and our party is walking into Somewhere over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole- its the ukelele, hawaiian version. I love it and cannot wait!

Undecided on the bridal party but I’m thinking maybe “The Way I am” (can’t remember off the top of my head) or “I will follow you into the Dark” (death cab for cutie).
I am walking to “Here, there, everywhere” by the beatles.
During the ceremony we’re going to have “Chasing Cars” by snow patrol
Not sure on recessional. I was thinking “all i want is you” by barry louis pallisar, but i’m not sure… might be TOO out there. 🙂

We did an intrumental of “your name” by Paul Baloche
Recessional to “Slide” by the goo goo dolls, then played “Something beautiful” by Needtobreathe while everyone was making there way out.
