Have you thought about a photobooth? Or like an “I spy”and put cameras on the tables?

Fireworks? I didn’t have them at my wedding and I’ve never been to a wedding with them, but I think that would be epic!

I was thinking of having each table draw a card out of a hat for a earn the right to request a kiss.  I just hate the ding the glass, so I’m going to make each table entertain us first with a “DARE A KISS REQUEST” card.  So far this is what I have

1 table has to make animal sounds instead 2 play air guitar, piano, fiddle to charlie daniels band “devil went down” 3-4 dance to robot or egyption songs or as a wild card we will mimick any kiss they do first

@tringo335:  Not sure what your budget is, but I did a quick Google search “Cost of fireworks at weddings” and it seems to start in the $1500+ range, but averages at $3000+. It definitely varies based on location, duration and drama. Laughing

Other interesting ideas I’ve seen on TV: Cirque du Soleil-type dancers/performers (probably could get similar dancers from a local school/studio) or a full dance troupe of some other type.

I’ve seen it done where rather than having people clink glasses to get the newlyweds to kiss, the guests had to karoke a love song.

You could do something like that, if you think the crowd would be too shy to sing you can of course find other fun, lighthearted alternatives.

@IowaDDS13:  I think I’m going to steal that idea! I get kind of annoyed with the glass clinking! I just want to enjoy a nice Lunch with my new Hubby! A majority of our guests attending wouldn’t be into that 🙂

I don’t know if this is overdone, but I like the game of raising the shoes to answer questions. The bride and groom sit back to back. The MC asks them questions and they answer by raising the correct shoe. The bride and groom give each other a shoe, so if you’re the bride, you have your shoe and his shoe. You raise whichever shoe to answer. Like “Who snores?” You raise the shoe. “Who said I love you first?”? You raise the correct shoe. I don’t know if there’s an award for most correct answers, but I think the game is cute.
