Hi Bees… any ideas of how we can share our engagement photos and family wedding photos at our reception? I was thinking of just having a table with frames… but wouldn’t all the frames get kind of expensive? Plus, it would drive me crazy if they were mismatched. Both my parents and my FI’s parents are still married, so we want to share their wedding photos. And, our grandparents wedding photos too. Any ideas? Share photos please!

We are just having a table of them. If you don’t mind them being not fancy frames, Walmart has some that are 12/$12 that are 5*7 or 4*6, and simple black frames.

you can do a nice big collage and make glossy photo copies. I plan on doing that at my wedding.

we had wedding photos of our parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents in frames around our cocktail space. It was really nice, and definitely good conversation starters.
I made our engagement pics into our guest book, so people saw them when they signed it. It’s nice because now I’ll always have them, mixed with memories people left for us at the wedding.

We displayed framed family wedding photos on the guest book table and gift table. We used our engagement photos in our guestbook (Adoramapix) and as tags on our favors (mini moo cards with directions to upload guest photos to our flickr site).

We used our favorite photo as our guest book We put it in a signing photo frame we bought on sale at Michaels, picked our favorite engagement photo, and provided markers for them to sign with. If you want to display more I’d put them at the signing table, in frames in stands. Or you could make a little photo book of them at Walmart online.
Another option is to do a slide show at some point during dinner.

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
We put family photos into picture frames and had out the wedding photo albums for both of our parents weddings in our cocktail hour space. The photos started some really fun conversations, and it was nice to be surrounded by the photos of loved ones both past and present. We are now using the frames as Christmas gifts, filling them with photos taken by our photographer and giving them to our loved ones. I specifically asked my photog to get pictures of certain groups so that I could do this and make sure the frames had good homes. 🙂

we’re going to have a little album of photos of us on each table, and display a framed wedding photo of each of our married family members on the guestbook/wishing well table. as already mentioned, you can easily use these frames in your home or gift them after the wedding!
