At my cousin’s wedding, people were fighting over the chocolate covered biscuits from a well-known bakery!  From my experience, sweet food type favors seem to go over well.  I once read on a blog (I don’t remember where) that a couple set out those sparky, wind-up dinosaur toys and were racing them against each other.  I think it would be fun, but for the right couple/ party!

Where is your wedding?  What is your theme?  Any special first date (or early date) memories?  Where did you get engaged?  Answering those questions can help us determine options for you.

For instance, the first time Fiance came down to see me (LDR) he brought strawberry cheesecake truffles with him.  Those are our favors.

@soontobemrsazrelyant:  i think an edible favor is your best bet.  people tend to not go for any of the non-edible ones, or just trash them.

i was at a wedding in march where the favor was small (approx 2 glasses) bottles of wine.  and they were deelish

I agree with edible.  Truffles, caramels, cake pops, etc.  Guests always love those.

@soontobemrsazrelyant:  I like the bamboo idea, but not everyone would.  I don’t think it’s too much to give sweets as wedding favors, as guests would bring them home with them.

(Most) People can never have too many sweets!  I am having a sweets table during the reception.  I’m planning on making a lot of the deserts and buying some candies.  We also have a fire pit so we will be having s’mores for people to make right there.  I am providing take-out bags for people to take stuff home with them.
