okay so i have a singer with the most beautiful voice and have nothing for her to sing yet except for ave maria…. which will be awsome!
during the ceremony i have to use religious music but I can use non church music before the ceremony.
I was wondering if anyone can think of contemporaty christian worship songs that would make sense for the unity candle also if there are any other songs that worked well for you that were just beatiful

Have you ever heard “In This Very Room”? It is a lovely song…

It’s not a Christian song but we used ‘Right Here Right Now’ by Sheri Miller while we signed the wedding register during our ceremony.

We are using “I Will Be Here” by Steven Curtis Chapman for the unity candle at our wedding.
Our friend is also singing “The Wedding Song (There is Love)” by Paul Stookey as a prelude song.

The Prayer is beautiful. Sung by a few people including Celine Dion, Josh Groban, and Andrea Bocelli.

“How Beautiful” is another nice option. Since the unity candle doesn’t take very long, you may want to only have one verse sung. It can get awkward to stand there, waiting for the song to end, with everyone staring at you. Might seem like the longest three minutes of you life! 🙂

“How He Loves” by Jesus Culture (made popular by David Crowder) is also a great choice.
We are using it for our footwashing ceremony.
