I want our ceremony to have something involving our mothers, like words the Rev can say or the mothers can say. I don’t like the insignificant part where they just light the candles and thats that. Its very important to me since both our parents are seperated.
Has anyone seen/done anything similar?

We had a parents blessing. Both of our parents are married but you could easily do it with just your mothers if you wanted. Our pastor had them come up to us at the alter in the middle of the ceremony and say something like "We bless your marriage and your life with God together" and then they hugged us and as a surprise we had two long steam roses that we gave to them my husband gave my mom one and I gave his mom one. It was beautiful it was nice and everyong loved it!! I am sure your Rev. would have some good wording to use.

I LOVE that idea wubz. I never thought of handing them a rose. We aren’t doing a unity ceremony, but involving our parents and uniting our family that way is a great idea.
