Hi! I really like the idea of lighting a candle at our outdoor wedding ceremony (I know sand ceremonies are also very nice, but there’s just something about candles, lol). However, I know that there are a lot of concerns that it might blow out in the wind. Have any of you bees successfully found a way around this problem?

We’re having an outdoor wedding and our venue has stressed the same concern to us. We’ve actually decided against it for this reason.
Can you do some sort of hurricane around the unity candle to block the wind? That still leaves the side taper candles exposed (that you would light the unity candle with).

Oh, good to know that the unity candle might blow out. I may just skip this part entirely.

You could do unity sand. That’s what a coworker of mine did for her outdoor ceremony.
Or you could do floating candles in a bowl, but that might be difficult.
