ok I have a question for everyone.. My parents are divorced (have been for 17 years) and my fiance’s are not. So during our unity candle lighting I wanted my mother and father to light the unity candle together since his parents will light the other one together.. So here is the question..
My dad is saying he does not want to light the unity candle with my mom. Because he doesn’t want it to “look” like they are married. BLAH BLAH BLAH.. I guess he never stopped to think that this is not about him and it isn’t his day.. and maybe for once in 17 years he could manage to try and be in the same place with her without fussing. Omg what happens to people after they divorce. Sometimes I think aliens invaded their heads. Both of my parents are acting like this is their wedding and trying to make it about them and what they want it seems. My goodness. I wish they would just let me get married and he would just try to get along with someone and not be stubborn.
