I know there have been other posts on here about alternatives but I have two children, a 16yr old and a 2yr old that I want to include in this so I’m having a hard time finding something that will work.
I do like the sand ceremony only because it’s something visual to keep and you can clearly see the four colors representing us, however I feel it’s been overdone. Funny nobody ever says that about the unity candle 🙂
Obviously the candle would not go over well with a toddler so I need something he can handle as well.
I’d really like it to be something visual to have rather than exchanging gifts,roses,etc..

@vicozzie: I am a chemistry buff so I am going to suggest an experiment! Fiance and I were considering having beakers and maybe even putting on our goggles.. tossing in a couple chemicals that create a reaction 🙂 cute and fun!

We are doing the sand and I personally have never been to a wedding where it was done. So IMO I don’t think it’s overdone.

I am doing to sand also, but I am tryin to find something else for me and my Fiance and 19 month old to all do together. i will say that i seen somewhere that they took gold fishes, all in different jars and then put them in one showing seperate things coming together. I have thought about doing that myself. Hope that helps!
